One of the highlights of Venture Cup is that all participants get feedback and development tips from industry experts. "Entrepreneurship is an eternal marathon. Always push forward but make sure you have the energy for a long journey", says our COO, Emma Rozada, a serial entrepreneur with 20 started companies in Sweden, Shanghai, Shenzhen, London, Tallinn, and Bangkok. Emma is one of the jury members that will help choose Sweden's Start-up of the Year. "It's an honour to be on the Venture Cup jury. The level of competitors is always impressive, and it's great to feel inspired by Sweden's future entrepreneurs."
According to the organizers, start-ups from each regional final are directly qualified for the National Final. They will again compete for the Impact Maker, Best Traction, Beyond Academic & Game Changer prizes (see list below). Besides, in this edition, they will also have the chance to compete for the Space Prize and the Audience Prize - a category chosen by the event attendees.
Supporting entrepreneurs since 1998
Venture Cup has supported tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and helped nearly 15 000 ideas blossom since 1998. They arrange two competitions yearly. The spring is about start-ups in an early phase, and during the fall, the competition is all about ideas.
In both, experienced industry experts are committed to providing feedback and development tips on all submitted ideas. In addition, the organization offers inspiration, education, supervision, and the ability to create a solid network. Thanks to financial partners, Venture Cup donates 1, 2 million SEK each year to creative ideas with long-term sustainable growth and verified customer demand.
