I design digital products through a human-centered lens. My approach is to truly understand the problem and the people who will use the product before designing a solution to serve them. This involves learning and understanding the context of use, the user’s needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insight that informs product strategy and design. In most of the projects I do UX along with the UI, the motions, the visuals, and the branding all at once, and on top of that consider how this will benefit the user, the business, and the design. Between all those facets, It’s my responsibility to decide what design will best suit everybody’s needs. Sometimes I feel like the juggling mediator between our awesome strategist, developers, and clients, which I also love!
I was freelancing as a designer, studied for a master’s in interaction design, and worked as a sales advisor - yes, at the same time! It was a great mix of leadership, creativity, problem-solving, learning, and connecting with people. During my studies, I learned a lot about design methodologies and theories, and how to use design thinking methods to design the product and get it to its most desirable state. To put all that into practice, I started freelancing where I tackled all kinds of different roles on a product design team. I lead myself and often clients throughout the design process from research to launch for a variety of project types and clients - from innovative app designs to digital learning solutions. I also got the opportunity to talk about my work at fairs, as well as support clients in pitching their innovative ideas to investors. I really got the opportunity to be client-facing and learn how to communicate my work effectively.
Now, I work as a designer full time and can assign all my time to create awesome and useful products. Also, as a freelancer I tackled design challenges solo which was quite challenging sometimes. At TTC, I’m working in top-performing multi-disciplinary teams which makes product development more efficient and spot-on! Building a great product really requires a team effort.
Oh, it’s a lot of things. Personally, I strive to create a collaborative, positive, and fun environment where everyone should feel comfortable communicating ideas and thoughts. Being kind, humble, and open-minded is also something I think is super important. I also believe that good work culture is flexible and founded on trust. On top of that, building a sense of community adds a more positive work culture. Our amazing design studio with the kitchen, bar, and coffee station is only one way the company helps to bring us together!
I really enjoy sitting with side projects and exploring design ideas in my spare time as well. Or just learning new things in general! Other than that, I’m an adrenaline junkie and love to workout. As a former soccer player and dancer, exercise has always been a big part of my life. I need physical activities to keep my brain active and fresh! But most importantly, I love spending time with my family and friends. Relationships will always be the single most important thing in life! (cliche but true)
